As the 32nd Kalachakra teachings came to an end today, Pema Khandu, Minister WRD and Tourism for Arunachal Pradesh and one of the Chief Patrons of the teachings said that he will try to take such initiatives in the future as well.

“It was the wish and promise of our late father Dorje Khandu to sponsor the 32nd Kalachakra and we are very happy that we could fulfill his wish and promise,” Pema Khandu said.

Pema Khandu along with the Honourable Chief Minister of Bihar Nitish Kumar attended a gala evening Tibetan cultural show by the Dharamshala based premiere Tibetan culture organisation Tibetan Institute of Performing Arts (TIPA) yesterday.

Speaking to an audience of around two thousand people, Pema Khandu acknowledged the Bihar Chief Minister’s cooperation and help in organising the ten-day Kalachakra teachings which began January 1.

“I am very glad that more than two hundred thousand devotees could attend the teachings by His Holiness the Dalai Lama and in presence of the Chief Minister, we thank the Government of Bihar for their great help,” the son of the late chief minister of the Indian state of Arunachal Pradesh said.

“We are pleased that we could successfully organise the 32nd Kalachakra, but if there were any inconveniences caused by the organisers, then we apologise”.

The show featuring numerous Tibetan traditional dances, music, and songs were well received by the audience.

Nitish Kumar arrived here at the venue of the Kalachakra initiations yesterday afternoon and attended the Dalai Lama’s teaching.

The Tibetan spiritual leader acknowledged the chief minister’s “good work” in the state of Bihar and also thanked the veteran Indian leader for hosting the 32nd Kalachakra teachings.

On the sidelines of the teachings, Nitish Kumar also expressed his happiness at the successful completion of the 32nd Kalachakra in his state at a function near the venue of the teachings.

“I am glad and proud that the Kalachakra for World Peace is being organised here and completing successfully,” Nitish Kumar said.
